Our 2026 Recipients

Arya Cerniglia

Our goofy, intelligent, and incredibly brave four-year-old daughter is fighting a terrifying battle with severe epilepsy. It breaks our hearts to see how the sheer exhaustion of myoclonic seizures and heavy medications occasionally mute her sparkly energy. This diagnosis has completely altered our lives with endless hospital stays and unforeseen costs, turning simple routines—like riding in a car—into high-risk triggers. While we’ve managed to secure a sleep monitor and a service puppy that just began training, we still face critical, unfunded safety needs, including finishing her safety fence and getting specialized travel gear. We are profoundly grateful for our village; any support to help us navigate this new normal and keep our little girl safe means the absolute world to us.

Rich Creighan

Rich Creighan is courageously facing Stage 4 prostate cancer. For more than 12 years, Rich has been a cherished part of the Mars community, generously dedicating his time to coaching and mentoring local youth through baseball. His influence has reached far beyond the field by shaping character, building confidence, and helping countless kids feel supported and included.

Rich’s love for the game and commitment to others continues through his two children, who currently play baseball for Mars High School. Now, our community has the opportunity to come together and support someone who has always put others first. Please join us in showing love, gratitude, and support for Rich, Molly, and their family as they navigate this difficult time.

Friends Helping Friends Benefit & Bean Bag Tournament was established in 2007 to help a friend in need. The event was such a success that we decided to make it an annual event and help others.

Ever since our inception 19 years ago, we have been able to make a positive change in the lives of numerous families in Southern Butler County.  We have raised in excess of $350,000 which has gone directly to the local families.

This year’s Bean Bag Tournament will be held at Callery Baseball Field, on Center Street & Mars Evans City Rd. Evans City PA 16033 on June 1, 2024.  There will be cash & prizes to win, a Chinese auction, a silent auction, and a Raffle drawing. The winners will be drawn the day of the Benefit.

This year’s corporate sponsorship form can be found on the link above under sponsors.  Your donation can be made in the form of a check and returned in the envelope provided or by going to www.wecanhelpfriends.com to pay with Paypal.  Any items that you can donate will go towards our Chinese Auction which 100% of the monies raised will go to the local families in need.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to partner with our organization for raising funds. If you have any inquiries regarding our organization or the project itself, please feel free to contact us at fhfbenefit@yahoo.com.
